The Guyana Hockey team plummeted to a hard fought 2-1 defeat at the 2025 Junior Pan American Challenge Men at the hands of Trinidad and Tobago on Monday at the Sir Garfield Sports Complex, Barbados.
The First and Second Quarter of the game saw completive plays between both sides but it was the invaluable performance from the men between the post as they managed to keep out the net as the scoreboard showed nil-all going into the second half.
With the Guyanese looking to counter on their defenses as Jabara Lovell would find the net for the opening goal with 9โ and 17 seconds left on the clock giving the Guyana outfit an advantage going into the final quarter.
Determination were in the minds of the Trinidadian players in the fourth quarter as Trinidadian Adam Wyat would fire a shot with 11โ left on the clock equalizing and minutes and with 1โ remaining on the clock Aiden Elias seal the deal for the Trinidadian Team as they bagged the win.
The Guyana Team will look to recuperate as they will share the field with neighboring Venezuela at 14:00 hrs. at the same venue in the search for their second win.
