Ahead of the first-ever Breakout T20 Tournament organized by Cricket West Indies (CWI), which is scheduled to begin next week, wicketkeeper-batsman Kemol Savory and bowler Nial Smith have been named captain and vice captain of the Guyana Rainforest Rangers (GRR) team, respectively.  The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) announced the team’s reserve players, which include Jonathan Van Lange, Thaddeus Lovell, Aryan Persaud, Myheim Khan, Joshua Jones, Leonardo Julien, and Damel Evelyn, in addition to providing some insight into the team’s leadership. Cultural tours in Guyana

 Kevlon Anderson, Ronaldo Alimohamed, Kevin Sinclair, Riyad Latif, Ashmead Nedd, Isai Thorne, Rivaldo Clarke, Jediah Blades, Richie Looknauth, Zeynul Ramsammy, Adrian Sukhwa, and Quentin Sampson make up the rest of the Rainforest Rangers team.

The Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago is set to host the Breakout League on Friday, April 25.  The first game, which starts at 15:00, will pit the Rainforest Rangers against the Windward Islands Infernos.

 The Guyanese senior national team’s head coach, Ryan Hercules, will also assume the position, with Garvin Nedd serving as his deputy.  Andre Percival will serve as both manager and assistant coach.  Angelica Holder is the physiotherapist, while Ryerson Bhagoo is the team’s analyst.

 Next Tuesday, the Rainforest Rangers are scheduled to depart for Trinidad, where they are already preparing for the first event.
