A dominant bowling performance from Riyad latiff as he bowled Georgetown to a six-wicket victory over East Coast in the DCB Under 19 Inter-Association at Transport Sports Club on Tuesday.
With the toss going in favour of the East Coast as they elected to take first strike with the bat but failed to establish partnerships with their top-scorer being Vickash Wilkinson limited to 29 runs followed by Nicholas Shiopersaud allotting 23 runs as they made it 100 runs allout.
Managing to get grip on the ball and spin as led the bowling charge as he took a five- for of wickets For Georgetown as he received support from Jayden Dowlin with 2 wickets while Dave Mohabir,Jonathon Van Lange and Feeyad Lekraj with one wicket each.
With the low target set as Emmanuel Lewis looked to take the game by storm as he was unstoppable with the ball in hand scoring 42 runs and Shiloh Adams adding 31 runs and Jayden Dowlin with 20 runs.
The DCB Under 19 Inter-Association will continue tomorrow at the same venue as Georgetown take on Upper Demerara while at Meeten- Meer Zorg West Demerara will come against East Bank.
