Goals filled the back of the net on Sunday at the GFF National Training Centre as the Guyana Football Federation Season Seven Elite League continued with Guyana Police Force FC and Santos FC attaining victories.
The opening game saw an intense ball-action as Ann’s Grove FC contesting against Santos FC as the first quarter with Santos FC looked determined to go up and with 17’ on the clock would see Shaqua Joseph firing a strike while Ravi Coates would go on to double the lead for his team as he netted in the 28’ as they closed off the first half.
With the second half in play both teams failed to be offensively accurate as the half saw many shots falling short but the ball coming off the feet of Carl Griffith in the 78’ finding the back of the net as the game ended with the scoreline 3-0 in the favor of Santos.
The action would see a shift in proceedings as the Guyana Police Force FC battled against a young Fruta Conquerors as the game commenced with astonishing ball play and it would be Guyana Police Force Adrian Aaron scoring a double in the 10’ and 18’ as they closed off the first going into the second half.
Four Minutes into the second half as Adrian Aaron would go onto seal his hattrick in the 49’ sending the Guyana police Force three goals up. The determined Fruta Conquerors did not go out without a fight as they managed to pull a goal back in the 60’ off the feet of Jomel Jackson and Shamar Koulen in the 74’ as they looked to make a comeback.
A goal in the 93’ from Neon barrow sealed the win for the Guyana Police Force in fine form as the scoreboard illustrated 4-2.
The Guyana Football Federation Season Seven Elite League will continue at the same venue on Saturday as exciting football will be on showcase.
