The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has officially unveiled the squads set to compete in the 2025 Female Under-19 Inter-County Championship.
The tournament will feature talented young players from Essequibo, Demerara, and Berbice, all vying for top honours and a chance to impress national selectors.
Team Essequibo will be led by captain Laurene Williams, with Latoya Williams serving as vice-captain and wicketkeeper. The full squad includes: Laurene Williams, Latoya Williams, Briana Samaroo, Shonette Belgrave, Ackeela Belgrave, Deena Fredricks, Qzel Sampson, Aliah Henry, Alecia DaโSilva, Zenia France, Emely Booker, Sowana Booker, Jaraya Rodrigues, and Sheniza Thomas. The reserves named are Ashana Mohamed, Nickefa Allen, and Katiana Roberts.
Antony Adams will coach the team while Navika Narine has been named Manager.
Demeraraโs U19 side features a dynamic blend of youth and experience, with standout players such as Cianna Barokaya (captain), Rebekah Cleto, Christina Jackson, Abigail Benjami, Shanaya Mackay, Mahadevi Dass, Ariea Ally, Aneesa Chetram, Cassandra Singh, Rebekah Joseph, Rachel Sukhai, Tillah Hack, Alliah Clark, Bindiya Thakur, Akeila Adonis, and Rachelle Joseph expected to play pivotal roles in their campaign.
The Demerara team will be under the watchful eyes of Clive Grimmond and be managed by Heema Singh.
Berbice U19 Team, coached by Tremaine Smart and managed by Erva Giddins, brings a strong unit led by players like Trisha Hardat, Danellie Mans, Crystal Durant, Tiea Isaacs, Jada Fraser, Kaiana Leitch, Mariann Bowman, Daniela Hicks, Devananna Jaimal, Jade Campbell, Devani Rickram, and Tiffany Larose.
