Play in the MCYS, NSC Janet & Cheddi Jagan Memorial Schools Boys and Girls Windball Cricket continued in Berbice (Region 6) at the Berbice High School ground, New Amsterdam.
In boys’ action, New Amsterdam Multilateral School (NAMS) after been invited to take first strike made 46-3, Donavan Newland hit 25, while Ravindra Persaud took 2-5 for host Berbice High School who replied with 48-2 with Balram Chappelle leading the victory with 27.
Canje Secondary scored 27-5, Anthony Perscuel made 12. Ravindra Persaud 3-4 and Akash Sooklall 2-2 led the bowling for Berbice High School who responded with 28-6. Shameer Ali 2-3 and Sahid Ali 2-9 were the outstanding bowlers.
The Girls department – Berbice High School rattled up 43-5 with Asmeetha Ramrup 15 and Venice Felix 11. Mandy Crawford took 2-8 for Canje Secondary who strolled to 48-1, Pavena Persaud made 17.
And Canje Secondary scored 36-2 with Julia Taylor 16. New Amsterdam Multilateral aced the chase with 37-1 off 4.4 overs as Alleyia Grant led with 21 not out.(Kaieteur News)
