President’s College and Queens College put on impressive performances on Thursday at the National Gymnasium, capping off the Georgetown Regional Conference in the KFC Regional Tournament.

Prevailing by a score of 25 to 9, Presidents College secured their chances to go to the next round and defeated Plaisance Secondary by 18 points.

 Omarie Grandison and Michael Joseph each scored four points, while Mattanial Fordyce led the offensive unit with seven points and five rebounds, demonstrating his continued dominance on the field and his importance to Queens College.

 Queens College established their supremacy by limiting and annulling the North Georgetown Secondary offensive attack with their ability to manage their court. They won by a score of 23 points.

Swishing 12 points and 7 rebounds was Allan Patterson for the winning side as he received support from Nathan Morrisson also with  12  points while Jonathon Gomes and Darren Dublin not missing out each scoring 5 points.

The Regional Tournament will see the commencement of the Girls Regionals at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and is sponsored by KFC Guyana (title sponsor), with support from Edward B. Beharry, G-Boats GY, and the National Sports Commission.
