An exciting ball-play on Friday on the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall as the Georgetown boys U18  Regionals in the KFC Regional Tournament proceeded as Queen’s College, President’s College, School of the Nations and St.Stanishlaus High School , with bearers of wins. 

Plaisance Secondary lost to Queens College Secondary 32–16 in the opening game as they continued to miss consecutive baskets and create holes in their defense.

 Michael Joseph led the President’s College offensive attack as they defeated No. Georgetown 24–18, scoring 11 points, pulling down 4 rebounds, and dishing out steals.

 Schol of the Nations, in excellent form, defeated St. Roses High 38-37, with one point turning out to be the difference. The game featured intense jump ball play.

Closing off the day’s action was the anticipating as Saints Stanishlaus Secondary pulled off the upset of the night overcoming the Government Technical Institute with a 38-35 victory.

 The tournament will break for two weeks for the Easter holidays and is sponsored by KFC Guyana,  Edward B.Beharry Ltd,  G-Boats Inc,  and Nations Sports Commission
