Youth Basketball will once again take the spotlight as the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG)  will bounce off their Regional Basketball Tournament on Friday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall with the Georgetown U18 Regionals.

This Edition will see the participation of student-athletes from eight schools – St.Stanishlaus Secondary , Queens College, North Georgetown Secondary , Plaisance Seondary, St. Roses High School, Government Technical Institute and School of the Nations as they showcase their skills as they vie for top-honors and bragging rights.

The Opening day of the tournament will see the first jump ball being contested between Saints Stanishlaus contesting against School of the Nations followed by North Georgetown battling Plaisance Guardians.

A dominant Queen’s College will then take the field as they contest against a regrouping Presidents College and closing off the action will see a heavy showdown between St. Roses High School and Government Technical Institute.

The Tournament will have a scheduled pause for the Under 18 division following their last group game to allow players to write CSEC/CAPE examinations to prioritize their studies.
