Sharing points was the affair on Sunday at the National Training Center as the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League continued under lights as ball- handling skills displayed on the field.
The first game would see Westside Outfit Den battling a young and ferocious Ann’s Grove United as Ann’s grove outfit didn’t waste no time to separate from their opposition as Ryan Seales would find the back of the net in the 9’ and following would be Yohance Seales doubling the lead scoring in the 18’.
With the first half near competition Anthony Benn would go on to give the West side outfit a bit of hope as he scored in the 45’ as the first half ended 2-1 in favors of the Ann’s Grove side.
With second half in play Deon Alfred would go on to equalize the game with his debut goal for the Den Amstel side as the game intensified which would see completing his brace would be Anthony Benn netting a sensational goal.
With the Den Amstel Team looking to be on their way to another win, Yohance Francis would then go onto equalize the game for the Ann’s Grove and forcing the teams to share points as he scored in 90’+3 as the game ended with a 3- goal tie.
In what looked to be the anticipating showdown of the night with Western Tigers fc and Fruta Conquerors FC taking center stage as the game ended with a goalless draw as both teams failed to penetrate with their chances.
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League will run down at the same venue on Friday as Slingerz Football Club will contest Mainstay Football Club while Santos Football Club close off the action against Guyana Police Force Football Club.
