The Guyana Basketball Federation One Guyana Basketball League over the weekend was filled with impressive performance at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall as Jets, Bounty Colts, North Ruimveldt Ravens resilience earned them wins.
The Inaugural game of the night saw Jets increase the Panthers losing streak to five games as they handed down 29 points defeat as the scoreline read 71 – 42 which would see Jets Akinm Wilson lead the scoring netting 15 points.
An 81- 52 scoreline resulted in Bounty Colts looking on-form for championship status as they reigned supreme over Kings with a 29- points victory as Colts managed to reign consecutive shots.
Closing off the day’s proceedings as Mcdoom/Prospect Kobras fell victims to a dangerous core attack from Defending Champions as they suffered a three-point loss with the score 64 – 61 which saw Ravens Captain Dominic Vincente returning from shoulder injury to lead the score with 17 points.
A ten- point victory for North Ruimvledt Ravens over Flames as they showed their determination despite playing on Saturday which would see once again Vincente top- scoring with 14 points as the scoreboard illustrated 62 – 52.
The remaining winless and chances of advancing to the playoff down and dusted is Black Caimans as they suffered a 30 points defeat to Bounty Colts whom also played on Saturday with a score of 69-39.
Victory Valley Royals with a point to prove handed down 49 points defeat with the score 89-40 to Plaisance Guardians whom have continuously failed to record points after winning their opening two games.
