Saayad Lakeram bowled East Banks to an eight-wicket victory over Upper Demerara in the DCB Under 19 Inter-Association at Transport Sports Club on Tuesday, demonstrating his dominating bowling ability.

With the toss going in favor of the Upper Demerara as they elected to take first strike with the bat but failed to establish partnerships with their top-scorer being Jonathon Mentore limited to 29 runs as were all out for 100 runs.

Taking a quarter of wickets for East Bank, Saayad Lakeram led the bowling attack and managed to get a hold of the ball and spin. Vamol Lall contributed three wickets, Deonarine Dindial two, and Altaf Rahim one each.

 Saayad Lakeram took over once the low target was set, and he was unstoppable with the bat in hand, scoring 35 runs, followed by Yeshua Hutson (18 runs) and Deonarine Dindial (13 runs).

 Tomorrow, Georgetown will play Upper Demerara in the DCB Under-19 Inter-Association at the same location, while East Bank will play West Demerara in Meeten-Meer Zorg.
