THE continuation of the Guyana Basketball Federation One Guyana Premier Basketball League on Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Sunday as Bounty Colts and GDF acquitted themselves with wins.
The proceedings commenced with Black Caimans whom have continuously failed to register points as compared to their competitors GDF coming off a previous loss as the soldiers wasted no time as they were able to attain a 16-14 lead in the first quarter.
Limiting the Caiman to 9 points in the second quarter while GDF accumulated 18 points as they controlled the tempo of the second quarter as the scoreboard showed 34-23 in favour of the GDF outfit.
The domination continued from the soldiers as they restricted the Caimans to 9 points again compared to GDF putting up 17 points as they looked to be on the trajectory for the win with the score 51 – 34.
GDF in the fourth quarter would go on to record a 33- points victory over Black Caimans as their search for the first points has extended with the scoreline 76-43.
Bounty Colts looking to continue their winning form contetested in Game against an Out -of – form Plaisance Guardians as the action which saw buckets swishing in the first quarter and Bounty Colts with a 16-13 points lead.
Going on to score 19 points in the second quarter compared to opponents 17 points was the Colts as they went on to extend their lead showing their class as the scoreboard illustrated 32-28.
The Third quarter saw a low-scoring thriller as both teams shared buckets, but it was the Guardians outscoring the Guardians as they put up 13 points while the Colts scored 12 and the lead still in favour of the colts with the score 44-31.
The Bounty Colts would go on to bagg a 13 -point victory with the scoreline 67-54 over Plaisance Guardians once again failing to secure points after securing wins in their two opening games.
The Guyana Basketball Federation One Guyana Premier Basketball League will continue on the weekend at the same venue as 24 teams aim for supremacy as the Title of ‘Number One Team in Guyana.’
