Fruta Conquerors Football Club continued its mission of developing football and shaping future leaders through an inspiring “Elite Community Engagement” with the students and staff of Tucville Secondary School.

This initiative is part of a national campaign led by the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) to promote the development of football in Guyana and to highlight the crucial role of the Elite League in the Federation’s overarching Strategic Development Plan.

During the visit, representatives from Fruta Conquerors FC engaged directly with students and teachers, sharing insights on the structure of the Elite League, pathways for youth involvement in football, and how sport can used to build character.

As a gesture of goodwill and support, Fruta Conquerors FC presented the school with two professional-grade footballs, a set of vintage Golden Jaguars fan jerseys, and a supply of football bibs courtesy of the Guyana Football Federation. In addition, three cases of Fruta juices, generously donated by title sponsor Fruta and Guyana Beverages Inc., were gifted to the school to encourage wellness and community spirit.

To top off the experience, two exciting friendly matches were held between the students of Tucville Secondary, one featuring the school’s female players and the other with the male students. The matches created a vibrant, joyful atmosphere and allowed the students to showcase their skills while engaging directly with Fruta Conquerors’ Elite League players.

Speaking on behalf of the Guyana Football Federation, GFF President Wayne Forde remarked:

“The GFF is proud to support initiatives that put football at the heart of youth development. We believe every engagement with schools like Tucville Secondary is an opportunity to ignite purpose, discipline, and ambition in our young people. Through football, we are not only building athletes, we are building the future of Guyana.”

Fruta Conquerors FC President Martin Massiah emphasized the deeper role football plays in youth development:

“Through initiatives like this, we’re using football to engage the youth, elevate culture, inspire change, and raise up the next generation of professional footballers, innovators and leaders in Guyana…and as we influence lives, we’re also strengthening our foundation as a club, advancing our push towards Concacaf Club Licensing.”

The event was attended by President Martin Massiah, Executive Member Junior Ramkelawan, Head Coach Samson “Benaiah” Gilbert, and several members of the Fruta Conquerors Senior Men’s Team who are currently competing in the Elite League Season VII.

Fruta Conquerors FC remains committed to being a beacon of excellence on and off the field, and looks forward to continuing these community engagements as part of its broader responsibility to the development of football and youth across Guyana.
