The Group stage of the Second Annual Rock Legend Futsal tournament continued on Saturday March 8th ,2025 within the walls of the National Gymnasium as Stabroek Ballers ‘B’, Sparta Boss, North East La Penitence and Bent Street ‘A’ were recipients of wins.
A 2 – 1 win from Sparta Boss over Stabroek Ballerz as they kicked off the proceeding as a Nicholos MacArthur found the back of the net in the 7’ and a stunner in the 14’ from Carl Griffth proved to be decisive.
A closely contested match between Festival City and Mocha resulted in both teams sharing a points which saw 2’ into the game Festival City Mark Carrega scoring a goal which would then see Mocha looking to make a comeback as Steffon Ramsey in the 4’ and Teon Jones in the 14’ would find the net and make a comeback giving their team an advantage not for long as Festival City Rich Deon in the 20’.
Stabroek Ballers ‘B’ managed to overcome the powerful LA ballers as they bagged a 2-1 victory in a sensational form.
Thanks to a strike from Lennox Cort in the 13’ as North East La Penitence were the receipients of a 1-0 win over Bent Street ‘B’.
As both teams looked to score phenomenal goals as both team were limited to one point each as Back Circle ‘A’ and Road Warriors were limited to two goals apiece.
Bent Street ‘A’ did not leave stone untouched as they managed to hand down a ferocious 3-0 over a young and dominant Back Circle ‘B’.
The Tournament will continue on Wednesday 12th February with the Quarterfinals Action at the same venue as sixteen teams are in pursuit of the first place prize of 1million dollars.
