With the continuation of the Guyana Basketball Federation One Guyana Basketball Premier League on Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall as Panthers and Pacesetters reigned victorious.
Undefeated Pacesetters looking to continue their winning form as they ignited the action in Game one contesting against a winless East Coast All-stars which saw pure dominance in the first quarter from Pacesetter, attaining a 16-9 lead.
Going on to score 21 points in the second quarter compared to opponents 7 points was the Pacesetters as they went on to extend their lead showing their class as the scoreboard illustrated 37-16.
The Third quarter saw a low-scoring thriller as both teams share buckets, but it was the Pacesetters outscoring the All-stars as they put up 20 points while the All-stars scored 19 points with the score 57-33.
The Wortmanville Pacesetters would go on to extend their winning streak to 7 games as they bagged a 35-point victory with the scoreline 80-45 over East Coast All-stars once again failing to secure points.
Plaisance Guardians who have lost their touch after suffering consecutive losses shared the court coming against Panthers looking to bag their inaugural points as the game started with the Panthers having a one-point advantage with the score 11-10.
Buckets in galore for the Panthers as they managed to control a low-scoring quarter as they were able to master 11 points while the Guardians were limited to two points as Panthers held a 22-10.
Guardians came into the third quarter as they looked like they would overturn the heavy deficit as they were able to score 16 points while Panthers could only manage 13 points as the score 35-31.
Despite outscoring the Panthers in the final quarter the Guardians suffered a one point loss as Panthers were handed their first victory with the score 52-51 as they departed the scort with smiling faces.
The Guyana Basketball Association One Guyana Basketball Premier league will continue today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall as basketball prospects will continue to showcase their talents.
