Morrell displays confidence ahead of Benavidez fight.

David Morrell is promising a dominant victory when he squares off against David Benavidez this Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The upcoming showdown has generated massive buzz among boxing fans worldwide, as two of the sport’s most electrifying fighters prepare to collide in what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest bouts of the year.

While super-middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has shown little interest in facing Benavidez, Morrell has spent nearly two years calling for a shot at the newly-crowned ‘Mexican Monster.’

Now that Morrell’s opportunity has arrived, the Cuban is brimming with confidence, firmly believing he’ll have his hand raised come February 1.

“I’m not concerned with anything he brings to the ring,” Morrell said during the fight week Grand Arrivals in Las Vegas.

“They call him the Monster, but I’m not worried about that at all. I’ve got my team behind me, and I’m ready for this,” said David Morrell ahead of his highly anticipated clash with David Benavidez.

The Cuban fighter exudes confidence as he heads into Saturday’s main event, which promises to deliver fireworks. “I’m 100% confident. With Ronnie Shields in my corner and a great training camp in Texas, I feel better than ever. I’m not focused on what others are saying—I’m here to get the last word on Saturday.”

The stylistic clash between Benavidez’s relentless offensive onslaught and Morrell’s explosive southpaw skill has fans buzzing. It’s a matchup destined to bring plenty of action, blood, and brutal exchanges.

Despite just 11 pro bouts under his belt, Morrell is undeterred by the challenge ahead. He’s determined not only to become the first to defeat Benavidez but to do so inside the distance.

“Inside that ring, no one can stop what we’re going to do to each other, except the referee,” Morrell stated confidently.

“I promise I’m here to knock him out. I’ve got everything I need to win. This is my moment—2025 is my year.”

With Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol set to square off on February 22 for the undisputed light-heavyweight title, a win for Morrell this weekend would put him on a direct path to challenge the winner.

“I’m excited for this big opportunity,” the 27-year-old said. “This fight is going to open the door for other Cuban fighters to follow in my footsteps. I’m thrilled to finally be on the cusp of this moment.”
